	SUBLIME DECADENCE Eric Breish Linda Dautreuil Yun Bai Opening Reception February 20, 2010 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sublime Decadence, a three-person exhibition at New Gallery \| Thom Andriola, features each artists’ unique approach to sensuality in form and content created through the art process. Linda Dautreuil, a resident of Louisiana, paints with a rich, multi-layered approach. A feeling of the overgrown, humid environment of the gulf coast permeates her work, and her paintings employ multiple perspectives and figurative elements within a free-flowing, abstract field. Yun Bai, originally from China and now residing in Los Angeles, California, is known for her series of “PornFlowers”. She combines high gloss acrylic, collage, painting and drawing in these fantasy flower arrangements with a naughty twist. Eric Breish is a young Houston artist showing for the first time. He combines two techniques; poured acrylic resulting in a flowing surface of brightly pigmented colors, and aluminum etching, a tradition that he continues with the guidance of gallery artist Andreas Nottebohm, who encourages and endorses Eric’s application of his process.
